The bather doll

I came across a tiny insert in a magazine of a papermache doll made to look like a old fashioned bather. It was delightful and sparked the idea for this drawing! Most of this is from my own imagination and does not look at all like the original reference.
I decided to add the puppet strings to the concept.

I often work like this, taking an idea or reference point and then seeing where I can go from there with my own imagination.

I have always destested the idea of copying and think copycats the worst kind of cheats so copying is just not my thing, I try to reinvent, re work what I see.
