Botanicals and Threads

These botanical drawings on vintage paper that I did a little while ago have that Victorian cabinet / specimen look that I am into at the moment!  I have a million ideas in my head right now but I think the common threads are the idea of reworking my art into different forms and onto different surfaces - from 2D to 3D etc, plus this Victorian "paraphenalia" plus interesting ways to display and curate collections of little artworks and found objects to create "curiosity cabinets".

Proudly South African

I am really encouraged by how much South Africans are embracing our own culture and inspiration and celebrating what is proudly South African. It's been there for a while I think but I also think the soccer world cup is adding that extra momentum!
